Fatburger opens first store in Saskatchewan!

FIRST FATBURGER IN SASKATCHEWAN WILL OPEN IN PRINCE ALBERT

PRINCE ALBERT, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, August 2011 –  Fatburger, the iconic hamburger chain from L.A. that defines cool and enjoys a strong celebrity following has come to Saskatchewan this Summer.

"We are delighted to bring Fatbuger to the Gateway to the North as we expand into Saskatchewan with our first Fatburger restaurant,” said Frank Di Benedetto, the Fatburger franchisor for Canada, and CEO of Frankie’s Burger Enterprises and the Ricky’s All Day Grill chain.

The new Fatburger restaurant in Prince Albert is ideally situated in a corner location at the Cornerstone retail centre. Acknowledging the Mid Century heritage of “The Last Great Hamburger Stand,” the restaurant will feature classic styling cues like neon and stainless steel, artfully balanced with up-to-the-minute technology like flat screen TVs and a modern jukebox playing today’s hits and the classics of yesterday.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 64 guests with ample surface parking and will employ more than 20. Open seven days a week, the restaurant will also feature convenient take-out service.

As always, the food is the star of the show at Fatburger. Our starring attraction – our signature Fatburger – is made with fresh, never frozen AAA Canadian Alberta beef and can be dressed with all the usual condiments, plus inspired choices such as chili, bacon, mushrooms, guacamole, jalapeƱos, an assortment of cheeses, and even a fried egg.  For hungrier patrons, there’s a one-half-pound Kingburger, a three-quarter-pound Double Fatburger, and even a Triple Kingburger. Enjoy your Fatburger with fries, homemade onion rings or a Caesar salad.

But the biggest, baddest burger on the block is the new Kingburger Supreme. Begin with a full half-pound of hand-packed, specially seasoned Angus beef served on a puffy sesame seed bun.  Then layer on hand-cut lettuce, deli dill pickles and your choice of four cheeses, plus tomato, onion, and any of our other popular toppings.

This “best anywhere” burger is brought to your table full-service style unwrapped and sporting a special frill pick adorned with a Fatburger logo so other diners can see what you’re about to enjoy.

The menu also includes tasty options like lean Turkeyburgers, plus an assortment of delicious chicken entrees, including a Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich, a Crispy Chicken Filet, a Red Hot Buffalo Style Chicken Sandwich and a Cajun Chicken Cheddar Sandwich.

Diners may also order a Cajun Chicken Cheddar Salad or a Grilled Chicken Salad. The restaurant also serves Veggieburgers custom-made for Fatburger and a Fat Salad.

To complement our “best anywhere” burger and other entrees are our “best anywhere” milkshakes made with real hand-scooped ice cream and available with real strawberries.  In fact, Fatburger has six delicious flavors of shakes to choose from, plus a shake of the month.

Guests can also order refreshing beers on tap, such as Molson Canadian, Corona/Stella Artois, plus Heineken in bottles and frozen strawberry and lime-flavoured margaritas.

Other Fatburgers in Canada include restaurants in Calgary, Okotos, Grand Prairie, Squamish, Langley, Prince George, Edmonton, White Rock/Surrey, and Kelowna.  Additionally, there are three downtown Vancouver locations, and one in Vancouver’s West End, the home of Canada’s first Fatburger.
