FATBURGER VOWS TO RAISE THE BURGER QUALITY BAR IN LETHBRIDGE
LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA, CANADA – Attention, burger aficionados in Lethbridge: If you like the burgers served up by the other guys in town, you’re in store for an eye-opening and mouth-watering experience when Fatburger, the iconic hamburger chain from Los Angeles, opened it doors here on November 11.
"Established amid the music and movie scene in L.A. in 1952, Fatburger is the original premium burger joint, serving burgers relished by celebrities, athletes and now many Canadians who consider it their first choice when it comes to burgers,” said Frank Di Benedetto, the Fatburger franchisor for Canada, and CEO of Frankie’s Burger Enterprises and the Ricky’s All Day Grill chain. “To this day, we’re all about the food and the experience, offering our guests a chance to customize their burgers with a flexible menu that meets everyone’s taste and budget, and to enjoy fast-paced surroundings designed to add to their experience. So the bottom line at Fatburger is that we promise to deliver higher quality, more variety and a better value than anyone else on the block.”
As a prime example, Di Benedetto points to the chain’s Big Fat Deal – a double bacon cheeseburger made with seven ounces of never frozen, fresh-pressed, cooked-to-order AAA Canadian Alberta beef – the highest quality beef of any burger chain in Canada – plus a bottomless soda and a choice of crispy skin-on fries or a delicious Caesar salad, all for just $10.49.
“You simply can’t match us for quality and quantity,” says Benedetto, who is proud of the chain’s most recent honors, achieving best burger status in Calgary and Metro Vancouver, as determined by public polls. The family-friendly restaurant will be housed in a completely renovated and refurbished building, situated at 1505 Mayor Magrath Drive. The location offers seating for 80 guests who will enjoy watching and listening as cooks in the ultra clean, open kitchen shout out “Fatburger” each time one is ordered. Unlike the other guys, when the order is ready, it’s personally delivered to the table. There will also be a 20-seat outdoor patio.
Acknowledging the Mid Century heritage of “The Last Great Hamburger Stand,” the restaurant will feature classic styling cues like neon and stainless steel, artfully balanced with up-to-the-minute technology like flat screen TVs and a modern jukebox playing today’s hits and the classics of yesterday. No sterile, cold environment here.
The restaurant will feature ample surface parking and will employ more than 20. Open seven days a week, convenient take-out service will be available for guests on the go. Guests will be invited to enjoy their Fatburgers with all the usual condiments, and to select from many inspired choices such as adding chili, bacon, mushrooms, guacamole, jalapeƱos, an assortment of cheeses, and even a fried egg. For hungrier patrons, there’s a one-half-pound Kingburger, a three-quarter-pound Double Fatburger, and even a Triple Kingburger. Enjoy your Fatburger with fries, homemade onion rings or a Caesar salad.
These days, the biggest, baddest burger on the block is the Kingburger Supreme. Begin with a full half-pound of hand-packed, specially seasoned Angus beef served on a puffy sesame seed bun. Then layer on hand-cut lettuce, deli dill pickles and your choice of four cheeses, plus tomato, onion, and any of our other popular toppings.
But there’s more to Fatbuger than delicious burgers. The menu also includes tasty options like lean Turkeyburgers made exclusively for Fatburger that are infused with sage and rosemary and served with real cranberry sauce. There’s also an assortment of delicious chicken entrees made with full-sized white meat chicken breasts, including a Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich, a Crispy Chicken Filet, a Red Hot Buffalo Style Chicken Sandwich and a Cajun Chicken Cheddar Sandwich.
Diners may also order a Cajun Chicken Cheddar Salad or a Grilled Chicken Salad. Only the freshest produce, including hand-cut lettuce, centre-cut beefsteak tomatoes and fresh-cut onions, qualifies to be served at Fatburger.
The restaurant will also offer Veggieburgers custom-made for Fatburger with real vegetables, and a healthy Fat Salad. Of course, we haven’t left the kids out, either, with combos featuring a cheeseburger, a hotdog or chick’n strips that include fries and a choice of soda, milk or lemonade.
To complement our “best anywhere” burger and other entrees are our “best anywhere” milkshakes made with real high butter fat, hand-scooped ice cream and available with real strawberries. In fact, Fatburger has six delicious flavors of shakes to choose from, plus a shake of the month.
Guests can also order refreshing beers on tap, such as Whistler Lager, plus Heineken and Corona in bottles and frozen strawberry and lime-flavoured margaritas.
Other Fatburgers in Canada include restaurants in Calgary, Okotos, Grand Prairie, Squamish, Langley, Prince Albert, Prince George, Edmonton, White Rock/Surrey, and Kelowna. Additionally, there are three downtown Vancouver locations, and one in Vancouver’s West End, the home of Canada’s first Fatburger.
